Matar Paneer
Delicious Cottage Cheese and Green Peas in gravy

Ingredients
250 Grams | Paneer (Cottage Cheese) cut in squares |
1 Cup | Boiled Green Peas |
2 Medium | Finely Chopped Onions |
1 Teaspoon | Ginger Paste |
1 Teaspoon | Garlic Paste |
| Green Chilli Paste to taste |
2 Tablespoon | Tomato Paste |
0.5 Cup | Cooking Oil |
2 Cup | Boiled Water |
Dry Spices
1 Tablespoon | Whole Cumin Seeds |
4 | Bay Leaves |
1 Teaspoon | Cumin Powder |
1 Teaspoon | Coriander Powder |
1 Teaspoon | Garam Masala |
1 Teaspoon | Turmeric Powder (Haldi) |
| Salt to Taste |
Garnish
0.5 Cup | Green Coriander Leaves |
Method
First of all cut the Paneer in cubes and set aside. In a pan heat the oil and start frying the Paneer lightly they should be just golden and don't let them turn brown.
Now Drain them on a paper towel and set aside for latter. In the pan add cumin seeds and bay leaves when cumin seeds starts crackling add onions.
Cook onions till they turn golden brown. Now add Ginger garlic paste and green chili paste. Cook it for 2 minutes then start adding dry spices one by one.
Keep Stirring them and add half cup of water and add tomato paste cook the paste until it leaves the oil.
Now add 2 cups of boiled water and Cook the gravy for 5 minutes at medium heat. Now add Green Peas and Fried Cottage Cheese ( Paneer) and cook it for another 5 minutes.
Now remove it from the flame and put it in a serving dish and garnish it with coriander leaves.
Matter Paneer is usually served with Rice or chapattis.
