Kadahi Paneer
Spicy and flavorful dish made with cottage cheese

Ingredients
250 Grams | Paneer (Cottage Cheese) cut in squares |
2 Medium | Onions cut in thick pieces |
1 Medium | Coarsely Chopped Onion |
3 Medium | Tomatoes cut in 6 pieces each |
2 Tablespoon | Tomato Paste |
0.5 Tablespoon | Ginger Paste |
1 Teaspoon | Garlic Paste |
| Green Chillies Paste to taste |
Dry Spices
1 Teaspoon | Whole Cumin Seeds |
4 | Cloves |
4 | Bay Leaves |
2 | Cinnamon Sticks |
0.5 Teaspoon | Nutmeg Powder |
1 Teaspoon | Turmeric Powder |
1 Teaspoon | Garam Masala |
1 Teaspoon | Coriander Powder |
1 Teaspoon | Kasoori Methi |
| Salt to Taste |
Garnish
0.5 Cup | Finely Chopped Coriander leaves |
Method
In a pan take 1/2 cup oil heat it on medium high flame and fry Paneer till it turns light brown do little by little do not over crowd the pan. After frying drain it on a paper towel and set aside.
Now fry Onions till they turn brown and drain them on to the paper towel and set aside.
Now in another pan heat half cup of oil and add cumin seeds when they start crackling add cloves , bay leaves. cinnamon sticks and nutmeg powder. Fry it well.
Now add onion blended in a mixer fry it till it leaves oil and rest of the dry spices mix it well and add tomato paste cook it well for 2 minutes.
Now add fresh tomatoes and half cup of water and cook it well for 2 minutes on medium half flame.
Now add Fried onions and Paneer mix it well and cook it nicely fro another 2 minutes and remove it from the flame.
Now put it in a serving dish and garnish it with coriander leaves.
It can be served with puri, chapatti or Pranthas
