Fried Indian snack made from wheat flour filled with Cottage Cheese and Spices

Ingredients For Dough
1 Cup | All Purpose Flour |
2 Tablespoon | Oil |
1 Teaspoon | Salt |
3 Cups | For Deep Frying |
| Water to kneed the Dough |
Ingredients for Filling
100 Grams | Panner / Cheese |
1 Medium | Onion Finely Chopped |
1 Tablespoon | Ginger Paste |
1 Tablespoon | Finely Chopped Green Chillies |
1 Teaspoon | Cumin Seeds |
1 Teaspoon | Red Chilli Powder |
1 Teaspoon | Coriander Powder |
1 Tablespoon | Garam Masala |
2 Tablespoons | Finely Chopped Coriander Powder |
2 Tablespoon | Oil |
| Salt To Taste |
Method
In a large vessel add flour, 2 table spoon of oil, 1 tea spoon of salt and kneed the dough by adding water to it. The dough should be little hard then the regular chapatti dough.
In a frying pan heat 2 table spoon of oil and add cumin seeds to it when it starts popping add all the ingredients for filling one by one cook it for 2 minutes and remove it from the flame and Keep It aside to cool it down to handle.
Now in another frying pan add 3 cups of oil and heat it.
Now make small balls half the size of ping pong balls from the dough. Now take one ball and roll it flat into thin chapatti. Now place 1 tea spoon of cheese mixture in the middle of rolled chapatti and close it pulling 5-6 ends and closing it like an pouch.
Fill all the pouches and check if the oil is hot enough by putting a little piece of dough into the frying pan if it comes up at once the oil is ready.
Now fry 4-5 pouches at one time at medium flame. Oil should not be cold or too hot.
Serve the Potlis (Pouches) with tea or coffee along with Chutney or sauce
