Matar Parantha
Pan baked Indian Bread with stuffed Green Peas

Ingredients For dough
3 Cups | Wheat flour ( Whole or regular) |
1 Teaspoon | Salt |
| Oil to Fry Paranthas |
Ingredients for filling
1 Cup | Green Peas Boiled |
1 Medium | Onion Finely Chopped |
1 Teaspoon | Coriander Powder |
1 Teaspoon | Cumin Powder |
| Salt to Taste |
1 Tablespoon | Mango Powder or Pomegranate Powder |
1 Tablespoon | Green Chilli Finely Chopped |
1 Tablespoon | Ginger Paste |
2 Tablespoons | Finely Chopped Green Coriander |
Method
In a large vessel take flour and salt and kneed it with water. Dough should not be too soft or too hard to roll it in to parantha.
Mash the green peas in a bowl and mix all the ingredients for filling together.
Make ping pong sized balls from the dough.
Heat tava or griddle on medium high flame.
Roll one ball around 4 inches flat now fill it with one tablespoon full of green pea mixture and close it carefully into a pouch. Flat this pouch by pressing it between the palms of your hands.
Roll the ball in to a parantha and cook it on the griddle. Rub oil on both sides and fry it well.
Now make all the paranthas following the same steps.
Serve the hot paranthas with yogurt, butter and or pickles.
