Lemon Rice
Tasty Lemon flavored rice

Ingredients
2.5 Cups | Rice |
1 Large | Onion Cut length wise |
0.5 Cup | Lemon Juice |
0.5 Cup | Peanuts |
7 | Fresh Curry leaves |
1 Teaspoon | Crushed or Garlic paste |
1 Teaspoon | Ginger Paste or finely Chopped |
1 Teaspoon | Finely Chopped Green Chilies |
0.5 Cup | Cooking Oil (Of Your Choice) |
Dry Ingredients
1 Teaspoon | Mustard Seeds |
1 Teaspoon | Zeera (Cumin Seeds) |
1 Teaspoon | Urad Dal Spilt without Husk |
1 Teaspoon | Chana Dal (Horse Gram) |
1 Tablespoon | Coriander Powder |
1 Teaspoon | Cumin Powder |
1 Teaspoon | Turmeric Powder (Haldi) |
1 Teaspoon | Sugar |
| Salt To Taste |
Method
Clean wash and cook rice. Let the rice sit for a while so they get cold.
In a large Skillet add oil and heat it. Add cumin and mustard leaves. Followed by Urad dal, chana dal and peanuts. Fry it till the color changes. Add green chilies, garlic and ginger and fry it for few seconds.
Add Chopped onion and curry leaves and fry till the onion turns golden brown.
Add cumin powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder mix it well and add salt and sugar mix it again.
Add Lemon juice and rice and mix it well.
Serve it hot with pickle , chutney and yogurt.
