Dahi Walli Arbi
Colocasia Roots prepared with yogurt and spices

Ingredients
1 Pound | Colocasia Roots/Arbi |
2 Cup | Yogurt |
1 Medium | Finely Chopped Onion |
1 Tablespoon | Ginger Paste |
1 Tablespoon | Finely Chopped Green Chillies |
1 Teaspoon | Garlic Paste |
3 Tablespoon | Cooking Oil |
Dry Spices
1 Teaspoon | Cumin Seeds |
1 | Pinch of Hing |
1 Teaspoon | Fenugreek Seeds |
1 Tablespoons | Coriander Powder |
1.5 Teaspoon | Garam Masala |
1 Teaspoon | Turmeric Powder |
1 Teaspoon | Red Chili Powder |
| Salt To Taste |
Method
Boil and peel Colocasia roots. Cut them in round pieces.
In a large bowl add yogurt and 1 cup of water and mix it smooth. If this mixture is still thick add more water to it depending upon the thickness of yogurt.
It should be little thicker then butter milk now add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder to it and add Colocasia roots to marinate.
Now in a pan heat oil and add hing and cumin seeds to it. Fry them till cumin change the color then add onions to them.
Fry Onions till they turn golden brown then add green chilli, ginger, garlic paste to it and cook it well.
Now add coriander powder, garam masala and red chilli powder and fry it for 1 minute.
Now add yogurt and colocasia roots in the pan and cook it for 5 minutes and add salt in the end.
This curry is served hot with rice or chapatti.
