Allo Vadi

Potato and Lentil nugget curry

Serving 6-8 persons

Ingredients

4 LargePotatoes diced in cubes
4 Black Gram Nugget
1 LargeFinely Chopped Onion
3 TablespoonsTomato Paste
2 Finely Chopped Green Chillies
1 TablespoonGinger Paste
1 TeaspoonGarlic Paste
0.5 CupCooking oil

Dry Spices

1 TeaspoonCumin Seeds/ Zeera
1 TeaspoonTurmeric Powder/ Haldi
1 TeaspoonCoriander Powder
1 TeaspoonGaram Masala
Salt To Taste

 

Method

  1. In a pressure cooker heat oil and fry nuggets drain them on paper towel and keep them aside now add cumin seeds to the same oil.

  2. When cumin turns light brown add onions to it and fry it till it turns brown. Add green chillies, ginger and garlic paste to it.

  3. Fry it for 2 minutes then add garam masala, turmeric, coriander, and salt to it. Fry it for another 1 minute. Now add tomato paste to it and fry it till oil oozes out.

  4. Add potatoes and fried nuggets to it. Mix them well add 1.5 cup of water and pressure cook it for 7-10 minutes at high flame or for 3 whistles.

  5. garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it with rice or chapatti.
