Allo Tikki
Spicy and tasy potato patties
Serving 4-6 persons

Ingredients
8 Large | Boiled Potatoes |
1 Medium | Finely Chopped Onion |
2 Tablespoons | Finely Chopped Green Coriander leaves |
1 Tablespoon | Ginger Paste |
1 Teaspoon | Garlic Paste (Optional) |
2 Tablespoons | Finely Chopped Green |
1 Tablespoon | Coriander Powder |
1 Tablespoon | Garam Masala |
1 Tablespoon | Mango Powder or Pomegranate Powder |
1 Teaspoon | Red Chili Powder |
| Salt To Taste |
0.5 Cup | Gram Flour or Corn Flour |
0.5 Cup | Oil for frying the Patties |
Method
In a Large bowl mash potatoes and add all the ingredients except corn flour or gram flour and oil.
Mix it well there should be no lumps of potatoes in the mixture. Now make equal size of balls approximately double the size of ping pong balls.
Heat a tava or griddle and pour quarter cup of oil over it and spread it over the tava with spatula. Tava should be hot but not be smoky hot. Once the tava is hot turn the flame down to medium.
Now on a plate spread flour. Take one ball press between the palms of your hands dust it with flour on the plate well then put it on the tava.
Make other patties following the same steps. Make as many patties can cover the tava and fry them together, Just don’t over crowd it. You can gather all the patties on the edges of the tava.
Pour rest of the oil in the centre and fry them one by one.
Serve them hot with chutney.
These patties can be served with dahi vada, kabuli chana sabji and red and green chutney and makes a happy snack.
