Allo Palak ( Potato spinach)
Potatoes and Spinach in a thick spicy paste
Serving 4-6 persons

Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
2 | Bunches of Spinach |
4 Small | Potatoes diced in small cubes |
1 Large | Finely Chopped Onion |
2 Tablespoons | Tomato Paste |
1 Teaspoon | Ginger Paste |
2 | Finely Chopped Green Chillies |
0.5 Cup | Cooking oil |
Dry Spices
1 Teaspoon | Cumin Seeds/ Zeera |
1 Teaspoon | Garam Masala |
1 Teaspoon | Coriander Powder |
1 Teaspoon | Turmeric Powder/ Haldi |
| Salt To Taste |
Method
Wash and cut spinach thinly. Now wash peel and dice potatoes in small cubes.
In an large skillet heat oil and add cumin seeds to it fry it till it turns light brown then add onions to it.
Now add green chillies, ginger and garlic paste to it. Fry it for 2 minutes then add all the dry spices to it.
Fry it for another minute or 2 then add tomato paste to it cook it for few minutes till masala get done. Then add potatoes to it add 3 table spoon of water mix it well.
Cover the skillet with lid and cook it for 5 minutes. Now add spinach to it cover it and cook it for 10 minutes or till the potatoes get done. keep stirring in between.
Serve it hot with chappati.
