General Description:
Turmeric is a root, when crushed yellow in color. It has antibiotic property. It is used in every dal, curry, vegetable and pickle in India. It adds nice color to the dish. It is used in powdered form. Green Turmeric pickle is quite tasty.
In Ayurveda it is used in readily available antiseptic for cuts, bruises and burns. |
